I am definitely your Type-A kind of girl. My life goes into a small day planner which I keep on my person at all times. My clothes are colorcoded in my closet and my shoes are lined up neatly underneath. If something isn't done perfectly guess who has to do it again..this girl.
My wonderful boyfriend can surely attest to this. Ryan and I moved in together about three weeks ago. He's my best friend and biggest supporter. That being said, I'm sure he gets a bit annoyed when I take it upon myself to colorcode HIS closet and insist on keeping decorative pillows on the bed.
So it's kind of a slap in the face when I realize how bad I can be at procrastinating. I surely didn't PLAN on procrastinating (or else it would have landed a space in my day planner). Yet here I am, approximately 15 days, 23 hours, 3 minutes, and 18 seconds away from flying away on a plan taking me to Vienna, Austria.
List of everything that needs to be done within 15 days:
-Complete ensemble auditions for Western's music groups
-Study, complete homework, and take three tests on self-taught material for music theory and aural skills for credit at Western
-Pack
-This probably would be easier if I had actually bought my suitcases
-And what the heck, this needs like four bullets because packing for three months is HARD and takes TIME! Especially being a 19 year old girl!
-How many pairs of shoes do I take?
-THEY DON'T MAKE A MANUAL FOR PACKING, PEOPLE!
Anyways...moving on.
-Doctors appointments
-Get a Visa
-See the fambam
-Pack
-Exercise (jk)
-Make hostel arrangements
-How do I order a cab in Vienna?
-Pet my cats
-Pack
-Become a master at speaking German
-Pack

To say the least, I'm a bit stressed. Shoutout to Ryan and my mom for keeping their cool every time I have a stress meltdown. Did you know stress cleaning is a thing? Yeah my apartment is spotless. Stress cleaning is cool because you still FEEL like you've accomplished something but really you've just procrastinated whatever it is you don't want to do.
But you know what the GREAT thing is about procrastination? Still accomplishing EVERYTHING on your list even if your mental health is declining at a rapid pace and you have to see a psychologist because you don't know how you possibly could have ended up in this situation because it is entirely too much for one girl to handle.
Alas, I will make it to Austria despite my predicament and I will be HAPPY, dammit, if it kills me. I mean who wouldn't be happy in a beautiful city, with beautiful music, in a beautiful country? :)
